High-quality voice acting is the key to immersion in gaming reality

The computer game industry has been developing for several decades. During this time, virtual visualization technologies have come a long way from the simplest 2D animation, with square men and tanks, to the most complex simulation of nature and man in 3D space.

PARADIGM CHANGE
If earlier developers paid more attention to the plot, now the key direction of most projects has been the creation of the most realistic virtual world. The recent successes of projects such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dark Souls III and Call of Duty: WW2 have become another step towards creating simulations that are indistinguishable from reality. The virtual world can be perceived with the help of five senses, but the level of development of modern technologies allows you to affect only the sight and hearing of the mass user. Therefore, for complete immersion in the created worlds, sound accompaniment is no less important than the visual series. Sometimes users participate in discussions that are completely dedicated to discussing the work of actors of individual projects. The trembling female voice of the dryad, or the too squeaky exclamations of a mountain troll, can ruin the overall impression of the virtual world.

Voice Stages
Quests, RPG games, action games, indie games, arcades – this is not a complete list of projects that require sound. The scoring process includes several stages:

Sounding of local events, animals, birds, people and fairy-tale characters.
Creating sounds of the environment (nature, technical environment).
Work on interface sounds (touching the cursor on the elements of the game menu and control panel).
Writing background music, as well as accompanying game actions.
Scoring accompanying videos.
Mastering
The necessary requirement for scoring at all stages is uniqueness. For this purpose, special sound bases are created, the combinations of which allow you to create a unique audio atmosphere. Sometimes sound engineers manage to create sounds that never existed in nature. The cry of the fantastic monster Godzila made such a strong impression on the viewer that now all the fans of the series of films will recognize the characteristic roar.
The scoring of people and fairy-tale characters is one of the most difficult stages in creating the sound filling of virtual space. Here, as well as when creating an animation, every detail is important. For example, in Deer Avenger 4, developers were able to smooth out the negative impression of poor graphics with excellent voice acting for the characters. Twelve hunters represented interesting types, but the announcer’s good work allowed to fully appreciate the scale of these simulations. Many players would remember the fat Chinese Chinese Master Fu, constantly repeating something about an international corporation and rice sticks. An incredible flavor to the character was added by a squeaky male voice with a characteristic Chinese accent. Announcers were able to adapt the meaning of various jokes and jokes for the Russian listener, which at one time brought the game considerable popularity.
voice acting of the game
Thus, high-quality voice acting of computer games allows not only to increase the level of credibility of what is happening, but also to convey to the user various details of the game narration that cannot be conveyed using the visual series.
Voice casting guidelines
Naturally, the dubbing of games requires impeccable diction and rich sounding of the voice. There is no place for amateurism and part-time jobs in this profession. Experienced parodists can realistically imitate a male, female and children’s voice. To sound the average project, 2-3 actors are enough. The main requirement for voice is the credibility and credibility of the sound. Just reading the texts is clearly not enough, because the actors must convey the live emotions of the characters. In addition, it is important to take into account the national specificity of the target audience. Today, large companies release patches and add-ons with voice acting in different languages. In this case, the language specifics of the region are taken into account. Since the sound of some words may distort the original meaning beyond recognition.
WITHOUT A QUALITY SOUND TODAY, NO ONE INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MAY BE DONE. THE GAME INDUSTRY HAS ALREADY CAPTIVED A CINEMATOGRAPHIC, AND AS KNOWLEDGE, WHERE WHERE LARGE MONEY IS ROTATING, COMPETITION REACHES EXTREME VALUES.

Collaboration with a professional dubbing studio will help attract an additional audience and open new horizons.
